Anders Behring Breivik : We Honour your Sentiments but Condemn Your Methods...!!!

                     Anders Behring Breivik

What Anders Behring Breivik has done might be safely called as Unpardonable, but if we put his views—no matter how weird they might sound—against the European perspective, we find that he does have a point.
Actually he is not a problem as an individual but symptom of fatal anomalies that refute the very idea of man as an animal.
On a physical plane he is outright guilty, no doubt, but must be viewed as an offshoot of a socio-political process prevalent in Europe that is grossly apathetic to the welfare and the aspirations of the common man and unmindful of fundamental instincts of Man as an animal with its intrinsic motives guiding him thereof.
These Primal instincts of man have been superciliously tagged as ‘Racism, Regionalism, Jingoism, Religious fundamentalism’ etc and made to view as ideologies opposed to Multiculturism, the efficacy of which remains in question keeping in mind the kind of cross-currents that underplay human aspirations vis-à-vis shady aspects of global politics and economy governed by intrusive foreign policies of a few countries whose sole purpose is to make profit and seek opportunities even amidst turmoil.
Therefore the point is not Anti-Muslim or Anti-Immigrant or anything else for that matter so far Breivik is concerned, the point is how much do we honour and where do we stand so as to seek to preserve the fundamental aspects upon which the foundation of human society was laid...?
Failing at this ideological plane will certainly result in more Breiviks and groups such as and as far placed as the NASHI or the Neo-Nazi...!!

An Appeal to the Nepalese of North Bengal.

It was indeed a terrific fight, and the determination that you as people have shown truly demands our respect.
Now that you have made a historic victory against unprecedented odds, it’s time for you to put into force a few processes:--

1.    Don’t let any Bengali buy land within your territorial jurisdiction.
2.    Don’t let any Bengali sell his or her property to another Bengali without the permission of territorial authority.
3.    All Bengalis working under the state or Central government must be levied an outsider tax for the development of hill people in addition to what is due to the Govt.
4.    All opportunities of job be it govt. or private must be reserved for the Nepalese to the extent of 99%.
5.    Learning Nepali should be made compulsory for all non-Nepali speaking populace in public life as well as in education.
6.    Activities by Bengalis found against the spirit of sovereignty and cultural integrity of the Nepalese people should be firmly dealt with.
7.    Debar Bengalis from involving into any political mass movement within the territorial perimeters of Gorkhaland and crush such attempts with an iron hand.
8.    Restrict Bengali entrepreneurship to a minimal so as to promote Nepali Industrialists, the son of the soil.
9.    Initiate a process so as to dissolve advisory boards that have Bengalis in majority and in the process restrict Bengalis from holding key administrative posts.

What is incumbent on every Indian...???

First Scrap that God damn Indo-Nepal friendship treaty and think anew, afresh. It was more of a Nehru-Nepal treaty than anything Indian. The clauses of that treaty ( if you read) are outrageously against the interest of Indians and seem as the brainchild of a country bumpkin rather than a visionary Leader.
The treaty in question has in due course created critical internal problems pertaining to citizenship, civil rights, territorial integrity and the like.

Furthermore the presence of Nepalese and their identity as Gorkhas pose a great threat to aggravating extant internal contradictions and the future of this country with respect to terrorism and assertion of self determination by legitimate denominations and their political settlements thereupon.

For a country as big as India such contradictions are bound to prevail owing to its multi-cultural, multi-linguistic,ethnic and religious diversity. These would require deft handling and long term strategic planning on the part of gifted leaders if this country is to be kept integrated.

Conceding legitimacy to the concept of Gorkhas would surely jeopardize many prospective political remedies that this country may have to make from time to time as and when situation demands.

Heartiest Congratulations to all Nepalese...!!!

We extend our heartfelt compliments to the Nepalese on their historic victory over subservient Indians after a long and tortuous journey that followed a trail of ardent protest and suffering, building hopes upon despair, allegations upon counter allegations, and sometime culminating in gruesome deaths.

We , the Bengalis browbeaten and humiliated as ever have little choice but to join the bandwagon of merry revellers that seek to take on to the streets like young boys in high spirit getting to taste their first puff of cigarette oblivious of the dangers ahead.

It has been a litany of political blunders initiated by the myopic Jawaharlal Nehru who couldn’t really do away with his legendary tailcoat dependence on the British and so grossly overlooked the interests of the people of India, especially Bengalis ( he was so hateful of owing to Subhas Bose ) in his visionary zeal to further a servile foreign policy, ‘panchsheel’ and paved the way for the Nepalese to enter India on the strength of Indo-Nepal Treaty, 1950.

Thus taking advantage of the India’s wimpish and lackadaisical foreign policy coupled with disarrayed socio-economic and political machinery with their internal contradictions, the Nepalese (without any military confrontation) literally infiltrated into India over the years targeting the soft spot, North Bengal, showing great restrain and sufferance, and in the process becoming both a symbol of inspiration and opportunism to others to follow suit.

And there build an onslaught which none seemed to care or restrain and it finally resulted in Political consciousness on the part of these foreigners who now very defiantly considered themselves legal citizen of India. They were justifiably strong in their contention as they found themselves being inducted into army and various paramilitary forces, which strengthened their claim that they cherish a tradition of sacrifice for India.

Under these circumstances, it was not their unfounded interest that remained the question of debate in the international circles but it began to draw vigilant appraisal of neighbouring countries especially China, which got into meticulous and long term strategy based upon the developments in the spiralling aspiration brewing amongst these Nepalese.

Needless to say, China that always followed a well-thought and chalked out policy in line with the ideas of a visionary leader like Mao Tse Tung was quick to vest its interest in reaping political mileage on the international arena, augmenting to a great extent its clout over the South Asian countries (including the SAARC countries) gaining vantage position and greater negotiating capacity with an eye on the future.

For a country as great as China, it is a pragmatic approach to safeguarding its national and international interests and to ensure steady progress of its great people by making prudent use of extant political opportunities available near and far. So if China plays its part loud and clear in the long run shouldn’t raise too many questing eyes as it would be rather unusual on its part in doing otherwise.

Hence, the Gorkhaland Treaty is all the more historic in the sense that these dubious foreigners by means of sporadic violence and high handed tactics have won a war against a so called Powerful Nation, a clumsy oaf who they can’t stand in an out and out war.

West Bengal: A litany of Farce

Friends, let me share a very interesting observation I recently made while watching a Wild Life documentary.

Scene I:

A Water source is on the view perhaps the only one in the jungle. A small ambush of Leopards is approaching. Their target is a large group of deer drinking water oblivious of the impending danger about to befall them. At a distance a tribe of wild angry buffaloes defiantly holding on to their place, snorting ready to take on the predators.
A few hyenas from a safe distance awaiting their turn to decamp with the kill, no matter who dies, while a crocodile—only eyes visible on the surface of the water—feigning indifference is taking stalk of the situation, thinking whose fate the Devil might give a slip to and bring to its jaws.

Scene II:

However at a great distance from the roof of a ruined fort in the jungle itself a chatter of Monkeys is greatly concerned. They are not in the fray to kill, nor protect their territory, or run off with the booty, if any.
Yet they all are intensely vocal. In fact all of them are given to various antics—making horrible faces, honking peculiar sound, flexing muscle, thumping on the chest, somersaulting creating quite a scene as you might say....!!!

Seems grossly out of Context?

Scene III:

The situation in West Bengal to a great extent runs a close analogy to what is described above.
And what a handful of people is doing is no less than that of the primates...Staging protest, raising slogans, crying hoarse in the name of Bengal revival, knowing very well that none of such tactics is going to bear fruit, if not, least affect the destructive process that is going on in the guise of development in which The common Bengali has little to play or expect.
What is going on is appeasement of foreigners (that walks the earth in the name of Gorkhas) and Hindi speaking Savage outsiders, who are sucking Bengal of its Life and glory until Bengal dissolves into the dark oblivion of Hindi primitiveness and savagery.

If we get into a little soul searching we might even as well find ourselves in some way or the other standing in league with the beasts described above.

The question of Preference.

The second snippet is from the Telegraph, Sunday the 3rd of July, 2011 pp 5:

It’s about Omar Abdullah’s tweet citing discrimination against Kashmiri students seeking admission in Madhya Pradesh colleges. Abdullah has been asked not to put the matter against a communal perspective.

The reasons in the words of Madhya Pradesh higher education minister, Mr. Laxmikant Sharma cited to corroborate the above contention are as follows:

“This year, the new guidelines for admission make it mandatory for colleges to reserve 80 % seats for students domiciled in the state leaving 20 % for the ‘outsiders’.”

“There is still another rule students have to follow—that of police verification. Any student from outside must get a favourable police report from the Madhya Pradesh police.”

“They (the admission authorities) are saying that they have strict orders from the government to implement the 80:20 ratio.”

Now the question arises if some Bengalis are given to think on this line how far is it justified to brand them ‘Regionalist’ or ‘Adherents of Regionalism’. It is almost human tendency if not animal instinct for a living being to assert its territorial integrity and resist any attempt—real or perceived—to alter its socio-political and cultural milieu.
It is interesting to note that any voice to this effect from Bengal or Bengali Pockets is being branded as ‘Mired in Regionalism’. Things elsewhere though much vocal and similar in letter and spirit are grossly overlooked or condoned in tacit connivance of the intelligentsia.
Isn’t it time for the Bengalis to wake up?
