Foreboding of Dangerous Days Ahead for the Bengalis !

Snippets from Two News Posts  from The Telegraph, Metro, Friday, January 3, 2014.

Incident 1.
Threat of rape at doorstep
- Terror and trauma stalk two women, one molested in front of husband & another nearly ‘taught a lesson’
A young mother was molested in front of her husband near their house at the Rifle Range Road-Broad Street crossing last Sunday night. Two days later, she and her family were hounded to drop the case.
“Tum logon ko jo karna tha kar liya, ab hum logon ko jo karna hai hum karenge (You have done what you had to, now we will do what we have to),” they said and hurled threats of murder.
I was too shocked to react. It happened in my own para where I have been living for the past eight years. It was around 10pm and roads were not deserted either. There were people at the eatery close to our house. Yet, four men dared to molest and assault me.

Incident 2:

Peril on party street

Paromita Ghoshal, a 27-year-old BPO executive from Behala, was “almost kidnapped” by a taxi driver on Park Street on Wednesday for refusing to pay him Rs 50 more than the fare. The incident happened when Calcutta’s party street was teeming with New Year revellers around 9.30pm. Timely intervention by her brother Satya Rahul and two bikers saved her from… she shudders to think what could have happened. After taxi driver Umesh Prasad Yadav was arrested and charged with kidnapping, policemen asked her what she was doing on Park Street at night.
He turned towards me and said: “Chalo phir aapko ek achchhi jagah le chalte hain. Phir aapko sabak milega (Come, let me take you to a good place. Then you will learn a lesson).” He started the cab and sped towards Park Circus.

I have been visiting Park Street with my parents and then my friends since childhood. I have returned alone after partying past midnight. The incident has shaken me so much that I won’t be able to board a taxi alone again.

PostScript:
There are only two Phrases from the above incidents which can give us a clear picture of what would our future be in our own Home State...Please note
1.     My own para.
2.     Since childhood.

Yes, this is our West Bengal that we knew or have known but outrageously and most appallingly it is not what we see today; and more significantly it is not going to be any better.
It’s time for the Bengalis to think and take a stand before it is too late.

                      Because, tomorrow It might be
                                             You

Non Bengali Taxi driver tries to Shoot Cop--Another Lesson for an Enlightened Bengali

The Telegraph
Calcutta
Friday June 3, 2011

A taxi driver allegedly tried to shoot the officer-in-charge of a traffic guard in Howrah with the cop’s pistol after he threatened to fine him for violating parking norms on Thursday morning.
Around 10am on Thursday, Jayanta Sinha, 40, the head of the GR Road traffic guard in Howrah, noticed a taxi parked illegally on GR Road. The driver was not inside. Sinha started shouting for the driver.
Driver Brijesh Tiwari, 30, was nearby and rushed to his cab when he heard the shouts. He started arguing with Sinha and also allegedly abused him.

As Sinha turned his back on Tiwari to fetch a memo kept in his motorcycle, the cabby gave Sinha a violent push. The officer fell down on the road. “The next thing I knew, he was raining kicks and punches on me while abusing me,” said Sinha.

Seeing the officer under attack, Sinha’s juniors rushed to his rescue. “In the melee, Sinha’s pistol fell off the holster. Tiwari grabbed it and tried to shoot Sinha.

“I was lucky that my colleagues overpowered Tiwari and forcibly took away the revolver from him,” said Sinha, who suffered injuries to his right knee and chest. “I never imagined that a taxi driver would aim a gun at me.”

(excerpts From Telegraph taken in good faith to generate Public Awareness. Not for profit or Promotion)

No Mr Jayanta Sinha, You shouldn’t be surprised because what you have never imagined is about to become a norm in West Bengal. You and the rest of Bengalis had better get used to it.
Given our long tradition of being a race of miserable wimps coupled with a subservient fancy to an addled egg of an ideology called Communism, such things would be a common affair. We and our Rulers have been pampering these Savages for quite a long time so much that they are now all set to override us on our very turf. They are a now such a force that no political party can afford to overlook fearing setback in electoral-equation.
The day is not far behind when they will rule the roost in every aspect of our socio-political and economic structure and their say will be so phenomenal that it can’t be done away with.
We will be playing only second fiddle to them in no time:  What a great price indeed for self complacency and self congratulatory attitude of a Race that struts by the name ‘Bengalis’ of West Bengal.

Political Harakiri....!!!!

This is what we call political suicide...! At a time when we, the Bengalis, are trying our best to alleviate our      socio-economic and cultural position and trying to rope in like-minded Bengalis to be a part of a movement to further the cause of  our self determination and the right to protect our language and our traditional                progressive humane identity, such myopic acts by a section of our own community put us on back foot or from where  we had begun. they do not see the danger lurking in the guise of nationalism that tends to betray the very  concept on which it was built with many parts of India rising to assert their political identity. There was a time when people from Bengal settled and travelled across the length and breadth of India and spread the message of freedom and education and the value of modern thinking, they also spread the light of this beautiful language Bengali. However in recent times if we really spare a moment and cast a cursory look over the scenario, we will certainly find that Bengali is no longer a part of education anywhere in the rest of India All the Schools in  Bihar and Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh, where once Bengali was taught as a subject have been  deliberately done away with or on the brink of closure due to lack of funds (?). It's a darn lie, which even a child can understand.
It's high time we understood that if we are to save ourselves we need to protect our language on our land and make all possible efforts to restore it to a height of glory which in turn would ensure for us a place in History and on the demographic Atlas of the earth...
Remember a linguistic denomination is no Community if it has no land under its feet...!!!.                                A Community commands no respect if it taboos its own language and denigrates its ethos to another..!!

If Bengalis still prefer to sleep and afford to overlook...!!!

The City Diary
Ajit Kulkarni, a Pune resident, was arrested for allegedly beating up the guard of a Calcutta High Court judge when the latter protested Ajit’s spitting on the road. The incident occurred when the judge’s car was passing through Karaya on Thursday morning.
When Kulkarni was confronted by Alok Kole, a constable of Calcutta police reserve force, he allegedly started abusing the cop and slapped him before trying to snatch his service revolver. Kulkarni was overpowered and later arrested.
Kulkarni has come to Calcutta on an official trip, police said.

It is not just an incident but a manifestation of a mindset that is very much instinctive and may not be racially or any way motivated  for that matter. if an outsider just stepping into the state can show such aplomb, one can quite as well imagine what other non-Bengalis are capable of doing should there be a need at all.
the question is 'WHITHER BENGALIS...? Do we yet learn to read the writing on the wall? Are we reading at all? One Kulkarni was arrested. What about the thousands of Kulkarnis,Todis, Shaus,Singhs, etc, etc swarming about like cockroaches ready to and even eating up our resources to the extent of denuding us to paupers.
We are on the verge of becoming a minority. Wake up before it is too late...!!!

Varsity girls taunted, boys hit on train
OUR CORRESPONDENT

Santiniketan, Jan. 5: A group of Visva-Bharati students returning from a study trip to Nainital were allegedly beaten up and the girls in the team harassed on a train while it was passing through Bihar last night.

The group, consisting 69 postgraduate students of ancient history, were returning from the week-long trip to the Uttarakhand hill station on the Bagh Express. They had taken the train from Kathgodam, near Nainital, on Monday afternoon.
“When the train reached Bihar’s Barauni station at 10.30 last night, around 30 youths forcibly entered our reserved compartment and ordered us to make room for them,” said Saurav Mondal, a second-year MA student who was part of the Visva-Bharati team.
“Some of the youths pushed us and sat on our seats. They also started teasing the girls in our group,” Mondal said. He said the youths refused to listen when they were told it was a reserved compartment. “When we tried to stop them from teasing the girls, the youths slapped and punched us,” Mondal added.
He said another group of around 12 youths entered the compartment after the train reached the next station, Chouri Choura. “Some of them were armed with bhojalis. I suspect the first group of hooligans had called them up when we started protesting,” Mondal said.
The student said the second group was “more aggressive” than the first. “They flung our luggage onto the platform,” Mondal said. “However, the youths got off after the train started pulling out of Chouri Choura station.”
Some of the other students, who requested anonymity, alleged the ticket examiner and the railway protection force (RPF) jawan on the train refused to help.
“Both the RPF jawan and the ticket examiner said they could do nothing. They even asked us to refrain from pulling the chain when the ruffian   were throwing our luggage," a student said.

The students got off at Burdwan around 9.50am and took another train to Bolpur. They submitted a written complaint to the station manager after the train reached Bolpur at 12.30pm. “We had contacted the Chhatra Parishad leaders of our varsity. They had told us to file a complaint once we reached Bolpur,” a student said.
The complaint has been addressed to the divisional railway manager of Howrah. “I have forwarded the complaint to my seniors,” said Mihir Ranjan Sarkar, the Bolpur station manager.
Ananda Sahur, one of the teachers who escorted the students on their trip, was not available for comment. Sahur is the head of Visva-Bharati’s ancient history department.
The assaulted students, however, could not inform varsity authorities about the incident as Visva-Bharati remains closed on Wednesdays.
Varsity spokesperson Amitabha Choudhury said: “I have come to know that something had happened to some of our students on a train. But no one has informed us officially yet.”

Gorkhaland: Raising an Illegal Paramilliitary force in defiance of 140 of the IPC...!!!

Blatant defiance of the Law of land should be looked upon as another expression of self assertion, of Power and clout over people and against government in question. Aggressive elements must be dealt firmly with before any talk is arranged. We have to remember that such Pressure tactics and taking the majority Bengalis to ransom is to a certain extent portends a great threat to us, Bengalis and calls for serious introspection on the part of every Bengali both at personal and public level.

The issue of Gorkhaland cannot be equated with the historical chronology of demands for Statehood in any parts of India. In every case the parties involved were essentially Indian by constitutional Standard and not refugees or treaty beneficiaries of Indian's neighbouring countries.
Demands for Gorkhaland or any institutional denomination to this effect should be thus deemed as territorial expansion of Nepal, in the hind side--expansion of China....!!!
India's  obsequious  foreign policy together with bad bargain and failure to claim what is rightfully agreed upon and holding on its own is the at the root of what is happening to it in the international arena.
Countries as trivial as Sri Lanka and Pakistan can hold it to ransom  and leave it jittery.

The Wicked design Behind Gorkhaland...!!!

Remember, the idea behind the creation of Gorkhaland is not something of extending support in favour of Self Determination to the Gurkha people with a view to providing better life and opportunities but another conspiratorial plank to muffle the voice of Bengali people; A voice which is known all over the world for its progressive and revolutionary outlook. A voice that is synonymous and imperative with the right to Political Dissent, vital for any functioning Democracy.
The Idea is to cut Bengal to size, prune it into submission, culturally bombard its children away from its ethos, dilute its Spirituous dissident voice.

Unite Against any move to appease the Gurkhas.
Demolish all institutional construct symbolic of Gorkhaland.
Stage Vocal Protest against further partition of Bengal.

Nikhil Bongo Anushilon Samiti calls upon Public consensus on the following Socio-Political line vis-a-vis Gorkhaland Issue--

1. Dissipate the Entire Gurkha populace of North Bengal across small pockets in India.
2. Let all States in India Including West Bengal Shoulder the responsibility of their (Gurkhas') well being.
3. Provide them with OBC status and other concessions as per extant Policy of Govt. of India.
4. Create a non-political Gorkha Forum with a single seat Rajya Sabha representation to look into their     .
    grievances.
5. Complete monitoring of Indo-Nepal Border against infiltration by Nepalese and their subsequnt claim of
    being a Gorkha.
6. Identify and segregate foreigners (Nepalese) who identify themselves as Indian by Birth or Descent or
    by Naturalisation.
7. Studying Bengali as first Language or Second Language in School and College curriculum be made
Mandatory across State aided schools in the entire Jalpaiguri District.
